Port Charlotte Whisky embodies everything an Islay whisky should be. Islay-grown barley adds depth and complexity while evoking a true sense of place beyond flavour alone. Bottled at 50% ABV with 40 ppm phenols, it matured mainly in first-fill bourbon casks, with smaller parts of second-fill virgin oak and Bordeaux wine casks. Notes of malty oatcakes and peat are layered with apricot, peach and ripe melon, achieving a perfectly balanced expression of fruit and smoke. On Islay. Crafted with care.

Malted barley, yeast, water
Nose: Malty oatcakes and peat smoke open, followed by vanilla, honey, toffee and crème brûlée. With air, lemon zest emerges, evolving into grapefruit, ripe melon, peach and juicy red apple. Taste: Citrusy seaweed notes lead into sweet ripe fruit and elegant peat smoke. Subtle maritime minerality meets toasted oak, apricot, peach and ripe melon. American oak maturation adds light toasty notes with hints of coconut, creamy marzipan and tobacco.
