You can purchase duty-free goods on board Scandlines’ ferries during the following departure/arrival times:

Rødby–Puttgarden: From 13 minutes after departure from Rødby until 18 minutes before arrival at Rødby.

Gedser-Rostock: From 32 minutes after departure from Gedser until 38 minutes before arrival at Gedser.

No, you don’t pay a deposit for German or Danish cans at BorderShop.

But remember that you must fill in an export declaration when you buy beer, soft drinks or cider in cans.

You must complete an export declaration to avoid paying a deposit on beer, soft drinks and cider purchased in Germany. 

You can choose whether you want to pick up your pre-order at BorderShop Puttgarden or BorderShop Rostock.

You pay for your pre-order in Germany when you arrive at BorderShop and pick up your goods.

You can only pay for your pre-order in Germany due to customs regulations.
