Customs Regulations

As a consumer, you may import goods purchased in an EU country into Denmark duty-free, provided the goods are purchased for personal use. This applies to all goods, including tobacco products, spirits, beer and wine. ‘Personal use’ means that the goods are consumed only by yourself, members of your household or private guests.

The goods must not give rise to any suspicion that the purchase is being made for commercial purposes. As a consumer, you must therefore be able to demonstrate that the goods are for your own use. In cases of doubt, the Danish Tax Agency will make the final decision.
