Payment Methods

We have compiled all the information about payment methods so that you can easily find the answers to your questions.

At BorderShop Puttgarden, you can pay by credit card directly at the self-service machine in the pre-order hall. You can also pay at the till or at the information desk in the shop.

At BorderShop Rostock, you pay for your pre-order at the till.

At BorderShop, you can pay with Dankort, Visa/Dankort, Visa Electron, Visa, MasterCard, MasterCard direct debit, Maestro, American Express, V PAY, JCB, Diners and EC-Girocard (the PIN must always be used).

The transaction limit depends on the agreement between the cardholder and the card issuer.

You can pay in Danish Kroner and Euros.

  • Euros: Please note that we do not accept 500 Euro notes.
  • DKK: Please note that we do not accept 1,000 kroner notes.

Refunds will be issued in Danish Kroner or Euros.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to exchange money at BorderShop.

Please note that prices quoted in EUR and SEK are indicative, as all card payments are processed in DKK. The total price on the receipt is shown in DKK, and the amount in EUR/SEK is based on our conversion rate.

This means that it does not necessarily reflect the exchange rate applied by your bank. If you choose to pay in EUR, the final amount debited from your account may therefore differ from the amount stated on your receipt in EUR or SEK.

Our prices are based on a fixed exchange rate that is independent of those set by the banks. The rate is updated at regular intervals.

For purchases over DKK 5,000 made by credit card, photo ID (passport or driving licence) will be required at the time of payment.
